The Caribbean Club

We are catching up with Danielle Wolfe, the Manager of The Caribbean Club, who with her unique staff provides some of the most outstanding customer service on the island!

PP:  Being voted the top boutique hotel on the island by our Passenger Picks survey, as well as consistently rated five star by Trip Advisor is quite a distinction.

DW:  I am quite honored to receive this recognition.  I believe there are many important elements to consider when giving great customer service.  Our Guest Services staff treats everyone like family and our Housekeeping staff takes care of their home away from home like it is their own.

PP:  When we returned to stay with you we were surprised by this amazing fruit and cheese platter with a simple greeting of “Welcome Back Val and David”…making us feel like we were family… welcoming us back home.  It was thoughtful and such a nice touch and so personal.

DW:  We give special attention when our guests arrive to welcome them and show our appreciation that they chose Caribbean Club.  We have a full staff on property to support and serve our guests.  Every detail from check in until we say good-bye for now, gets our undivided attention.  We do our best to think of everything.  But most of all, greeting our new guests and welcoming back our return guests is what makes our days so special!  I am so glad you enjoyed your welcome treat!  It is just one of the special ways we make our guests feel welcomed.

PP:  We want to share what Linda Mitchell, owner of Luxury Destination Travel shared on Trip Advisor about you, your team and your hotel.

“This very special lady will welcome you to Caribbean Club like it is your home away from home, even for your first visit!  Danielle and her team exemplify hospitality and exceptional service!”

“This hotel manager can be found at sun up, taking you live to Seven Mile Beach as it is just waking up and at sunset to share the most gorgeous part of the end of each day!  In between is when she is readily available to her guests as well as managing to keep this a ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ hotel on TripAdvisor.  Any hotel can be amazing and beautiful, it is management and staff that make a hotel, a home!  Oh and she is just as nice as she is beautiful!  Thank You Danielle Wolf!”

DW:  Well I’m humbled by her response.  My team and I are very focused on the attention to details as well as our guest’s enjoyment and comfort.  We ensure that families and all of our cherished guests feel valued, welcomed and pampered!  Being a smaller property, we are interacting throughout the day with our guests, sharing in their joyful vacation!  It is all very special!

PP:  How would you describe Caribbean Club?

DW:  Caribbean Club is a boutique residence hotel, with spacious home like suites, all in a luxury hotel feel.  Really when you consider all the space you are getting with first class services, indeed it is a value proposition.

PP:  Tell us about the trends you’re seeing in lodging.

DW  Certainly, the Air B & B trend is interesting, as people what to have more space in their vacation.

PP:  Tell us what you see as driving that trend for more space.

DW:  We’re seeing families, and multi generation families wanting to vacation together.  Grandparents, grandchildren, coming together for family togetherness experiences.  And having space can change the dynamics and reduce the stress of the vacation.  So to able to rent several hotel rooms to house these multi generation families in a branded hotel requires, you’ll have to be wealthy.

The amount of space changes how we behave.  Because of the tight space in hotel rooms, you don’t want to stay there.  You want to get out.  But at the Caribbean Club, in our villas the family has space to spread out and have different activities going on at the same time.  The villa suites have three bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, full equipped state of the art kitchens, living and dining areas, washer and dryers in villa and the most magnificent balconies, spacious and spectacular are part of makes this hotel so incredible.  You don’t have to leave, just to get out, to go to the pool.  Here you can go to the pool, but you go not to escape the room, but to truly enjoy the pool.  Here you don’t have to get up at 5:00 am to go out and reserve beach chairs.  Instead, our fun and attentive beach attendants are always there to help.  No rushing to claim your chairs at our beach, you are perfectly taken care of everywhere on property.  We are a hotel with all the services but in a setting like home.

PP: How do you compare to a private luxury villa experience.

DW:  We are luxury villas with the conveniences of a boutique hotel setting.  The best of the best!  We are just minutes from the airport, so that you are at our island oasis in little time, ready to relax and enjoy!  The tower villas with amazing views up and down Seven Mile Beach.  Guests at the beachfront and beach level villas are just steps to the beach or pool, each perfect and true luxury.  We enjoy the most desirable of all the areas on Seven Mile Beach, deep and spacious, never crowded!  Our gorgeous lobby invites you in with stunning tropical fish aquarium, Luca’s dining area beckoning and front desk area so comfortable and welcoming.  Our guest services team is ready to assist providing options such as stand up paddle board rentals, in villa massages and pre-stocking of villas plus so much more!

Our dedicated team is ready to arrange personal training at our 8th floor state of the art gym, Nanny for the children, personal assistants, private chef dinner in your villa and personal shopping.  You are always our VIP, ready to be pampered!

PP: What if people want to see the island, how convenient is Caribbean Club?

DW: Caribbean Club is just steps away from the finest shopping, dining and fun activities! Take a walk along the beach or along the sidewalk, there is so much to explore! With Caribbean Club as your home, the island awaits you!

PP:  We couldn’t help by notice Luca, a very nice restaurant right here on your ground floor.

DW:  Yes, Luca is one of Grand Cayman’s top restaurants.  Chef inspired contemporary Italian cuisine, served seaside, offering world class fine dining as well as Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence wine collection, largest wine selection on Grand Cayman.  For hotel guests, Luca is open daily for lunch and dinner also providing service to guests poolside and at the beach.

Luca is known for the most grand Sunday Brunch, an incredible selection of delicacies along with the bottomless mimosas makes this experience one of the most desired on island!  Served only on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Chef plans a new Sunday Brunch Buffet each week according to the finest, in-season ingredients possible.  They seem to have it all, a breakfast station, fresh fruits and salads, oysters, mussels, shrimps, ceviche, sushi, sashimi, tataki and smoked salmon.  The Pasta Station with a chef who will create your perfect pasta dish any way you choose.  The Chef’s Carving Station with Rack of Lamb and Beef Wellington.  And of course the Dessert Station to sample sweets and European cheeses.

PP:  Ok, we just got hungry!

DW:  Me too!  The exquisite cuisine at Luca along with the magnificent setting creates a dining experience that stays within our guest’s memories long after!  Being able to stroll the property, enjoy the twinkling lights and simply walk back to you welcoming villa is a perfect end to a perfect meal.

PP:  We understand that the Caribbean Club has quite a history on Cayman.  Tell us about it.

DW:  It does.  The name Caribbean Club dates back to the 70’s when, on this very property, it was one of the first hotels on Grand Cayman.  Back then it was a collection of small cottages on the beach, with a restaurant.  We have a photo of the original Caribbean Club in our lobby.  Notice the flag pole?

PP:  We do!  That’s the same one that’s at end of the infinity pool today!  What a nice nod to the history of Caribbean Club!  So when did the current facility come into existence?

DW:  Obviously, we completely rebuilt Caribbean Club and opened it in 2007 as a boutique residence luxury hotel, which included the restaurant Luca downstairs.

PP:  So again, continuing the tradition of a good restaurant on the property!  And how long have you been at the Caribbean Club?

DW:  I came on in 2006 as the Operations Manager, so I was able to help guide the layout, amenities, furnishings, design, and feel of it.

PP:  Well you’ve done a phenomenal job here.  We understand a number of your guests choose to get married here.  Tell us what makes Caribbean Club such a special location for weddings.

DW:  We host many Cayman destination weddings and events.  We focus on creating a place for the wedding couple, their families and friends to gather and enjoy their special celebration, being together and enjoying the fun, the destination and each other in a very home like, luxury setting.  We are here to handle any of the details, making sure everything is in order and attending to all requests, for example, the welcome gifts that the wedding couple may provide.

PP:  Caribbean Club is such an ideal location for a gorgeous island wedding.

DW:  It is.  Seven Mile beach with all the grandeur of tropical colors and crystalline ocean makes an excellent natural setting for wedding couple’s “I Dos” or any special event!  We vary from the small intimate occasion to a grand celebration.  Caribbean Club is one of the premier destination wedding locations, but we cannot do it alone!  With our relationships partnering with local island wedding specialists, we can refer you to the most valued wedding professionals on island including Celebrations Ltd., Octopus Events, and Creativents.  Your wedding is our priority!

PP:  What do guests do about their wedding reception?

DW:  Five star restaurant, Luca, excels in their creativity of intimate to grand wedding receptions.  The staff at Luca is well skilled with an impeccable reputation in creating amazing experiences for wedding couples leaving them and their guests in awe!  So memorable!  Couples can choose to have their celebration on the beach or right at the restaurant.

PP: Thank you Danielle, this has been wonderful!  We’ve truly enjoyed our stays here and look forward to many return visits!

DW:  Thank you!  We welcome you back anytime!  I have truly enjoyed sharing the details of our very special property!  I look forward to welcoming guests to experience this gem of the Caribbean, to enjoy, relax and be prepared to experience the most amazing and mesmerizing sunsets!
