With 36 years of Taste to celebrate, it’ll be bigger and tastier than ever before! Taste of Cayman offers something for everyone. From delicious ice-creams to grown-up cocktails, street food to gourmet masterpieces, there’ll sure to be something to tickle everyone’s tastebuds. Come join us and indulge all your senses at the 2024 Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival.
In its first year the festival centered around a group of restaurants from the Cayman Islands Restaurant Association meeting in a field for a chili cook off. The event has now evolved to having over 45 restaurants, over 5,000 attendees, multiple competitions and over 18,000 portions of food enjoyed.
The 2024 event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, celebrating Cayman traditions and a rich culinary heritage through Heavy Cake and Mixology competitions, plus some exciting new features which we can’t wait to share with you!
As well as sampling food from Cayman’s best restaurants people can also enjoy the following entertainment:
Kitchen Demonstrations
Some of the island’s best chefs mix it up in the state-of-the-art kitchen as they show guests how to make their favorite local and international dishes.
Best of Competitions
There are a number of awards handed out throughout the night by secret judges for Best Booth, Best Food, Best Drink and more. The most coveted award of the night however is the Cayman’s Favorite Restaurant award 
which is the only people’s choice award. Upon entry festival attendees will receive a wooden nickel which they will carry with them until they determine the one restaurant they deem deserving of the title! The winning restaurant, as voted by the festival attendees, will hold rights to the title Cayman’s Favorite Restaurant and receive a $1,000 cash prize.
Mixologist Competitions
Catch Cayman’s best mixologists will compete in a live cocktail-making competition. The winner will be crowned 2024’s Mixologist Of The Year
Heavy Cake Competition
The popular heavy cake competition promotes awareness of Cayman’s unofficial national dish! Cash prizes are awarded to winners of the competition, and the finalist cakes are available for tasting within the area.
Live Entertainment
Dance the night away with international tribute entertainers. Accompanying the tribute acts will be local musicians and a line-up of Caymanian artists to be announced soon.
Photobooth
The photobooth is returning again for 2024! Have your photo professionally taken with fun over-sized culinary items! Your photos are instantly uploaded to Facebook, which allows you to share the event with your friends.
This fun and unique occasion is truly one of the best community events in Cayman and shouldn’t be missed!
