Agua

Many Passengers and locals consider Agua among the top restaurants on the island!  As they approach their 14 year anniversary at their Camana Bay location, Agua has a steady lunch and dinner crowd for many folks love their new menu options.  The combination of a unique and truly international menu, a casually elegant setting and attentive service makes Agua unique.  Agua co-owner Walter Fayette recently worked closely in developing a new menu with  Executive Chef  R.J. Dye who was keen on ingredient –based menu that used local produce as much as possible. This value produces a farm to table dining experience like no other on the island

Another key part of Agua’s success is their serving and support staff. All the staff is proactive in meeting the needs of their guests be it food sensitivities or slight changes in preparation. They go above and beyond to make your Cayman dining experience the best. Agua has sponsored many servers to attend sommelier courses it even arranged for Chef Dye to spend three weeks working in the kitchens of two noted restaurants in Italy.

Agua is a fusion of Italian, Peruvian and Caribbean cuisine with an emphasis on the freshest of seafood. Passengers rave about the different ceviche’s, which there are several different kinds to choose from. Thai style to Cayman style all fresh daily.

Agua is one of the few restaurants to embrace the craft cocktail culture on Grand Cayman. The new restaurant designed a custom bar area for those who want to enjoy their signature drinks in classic style.

The current star behind the bar is Corry Scruggs who has continued Agua’s history of employing some of Grand Cayman’s nest bar tenders. Scruggs became the second Agua bartender to win in the Cayman Islands segment of the Diageo Reserve World Class Cocktail competition earlier this year. In September, he traveled to Glasgow, Scotland, to represent the Cayman Islands in the World Class Global Finals and competed against the winners of 54 other countries.

Agua is also known for their extensive wine list from producers all around the world, for all price points and is also awarded by Wine Spectator with the 2 glasses award. When it comes to wine, the level of the product has a direct connection with investment.
